Every ESRS data point — mapped, measured and disclosable

Certigence maps ESRS data points to the fields in your system, the evidence behind them, and the narrative you publish.

10 topical standards. 2 cross-cutting. One map.

  • E1 — Climate change: Scope 1/2/3, transition plan, climate risk and Paris alignment.
  • E3 — Water & marine: Abstraction, consumption, discharge quality and ocean impacts.
  • E4 — Biodiversity: Sensitive area operations, species impacts and restoration plans.
  • E5 — Circularity: Material inflows, outflows, resource intensity and waste.
  • S1-S4 — Social: Own workforce, value-chain workers, communities and consumers.
  • G1 — Governance: Business conduct, whistleblowing and political engagement.

General requirements — solved once

ESRS 1 governs how you report; ESRS 2 covers governance, strategy, and materiality disclosures. Certigence handles both as configuration — you focus on the topical substance.

  • Reporting boundary, value chain and time horizons captured centrally.
  • Governance, risk-management and materiality process narratives pre-scaffolded.
  • Cross-cutting disclosures auto-pull from your topical answers.
  • Interoperability notes to GRI, TCFD, IFRS S2 and SASB.

The environmental standards, in one place

E1 through E5 are where most teams bleed time. Certigence wires each topical disclosure to the underlying data — emissions ledgers, site lists, material flows — so you fill the evidence once.

  • E1: GHG inventory import (Scope 1, 2 location & market, Scope 3 categories 1-15).
  • E2: Pollutant register (air, water, soil) with EPRTR integration.
  • E3: Water balance by site with stress-area classification.
  • E4: Biodiversity sensitivity overlay using EEA protected-area data.
  • E5: Circularity metrics with material flow analysis.

Social and governance — with real evidence

S-topics and G1 are where assurance teams focus their scepticism. We pull HRIS, health-and-safety, supplier code of conduct data and governance filings so your narrative is backed by figures, not adjectives.

  • S1: diversity, pay equity, collective-bargaining coverage from HRIS.
  • S2: value-chain worker assessments with supplier audits.
  • S3: community impact mapping for projects near vulnerable areas.
  • S4: consumer complaints, data-breach events and product safety.
  • G1: policies, whistleblower reports, lobbying spend and political contributions.

FAQ

Do you support the voluntary VSME standard for SMEs?

Yes. VSME is included at all paid tiers with a simplified onboarding flow for non-listed companies.

How do you handle sector-specific guidance?

We ship sector standards as they are adopted. Current industry guidance is incorporated as materiality weights and as prompt scaffolding in the assistant.

What about disclosures that aren't material for us?

Every ESRS topic can be assessed as 'not material' with a documented rationale. Your auditor sees that rationale alongside the rest of the statement.
